News Bulletin : ADA News Bulletin December 2010
22 DECEMBER 2010 NOW AND TOMORROW N N NO OW WAN ND DT TO OM MO OR RR RO OW W W BACK TO THE FUTURE: Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, Australia Wednesday 30th March to Sunday 3rd April 2011 Early Bird surge creates CONGRESS MOMENTUM! With just under four months to go until commencement of the 34th Australian Dental Congress, the surge of 1,200 new registrations within the last seven days leading up to the close of Early Bird has created positive momentum towards a record attendance at this event. If you haven't yet registered get in quickly to get as much access as possible. If you were hoping to get to the 'Lunch and Learn' sessions on Friday, 1 April and Saturday, 2 April 2011, you have unfortunately missed out! As always these sessions were very popular. In fact, the waiting list had to be suspended when it became obvious that we could not possibly accommodate the demand. Rather than change the format we have pressed some speakers into appearing on both days. This increased the available spaces by up to 50 per cent. (If you have been waitlisted for a 'Lunch and Learn' session and a spot becomes available we will be in direct contact). For everyone else, don't despair, many of the speakers are also part of the main lecture programme. Extra hours of CPD can be really handy, so remember for the 2013 Australian Dental Congress in Melbourne, to get in and register as early as you can. Rod Marshall Chairman Scientific Programme Committee Another prize for Congress registration VANUATU! The winner of the Early Bird registration prize of an iPad is Dr Peter Ellies from Broome, Western Australia. Peter, together with other Early Bird registrants* and additional ADA members now registering for the full Congress, are in the running to win a travel prize to Vanuatu donated by The OzAccom Group. The prize consists of return economy flights for two persons from Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne, with two nights' accommodation at the Lagoon Beach resort apartments -- www.lagoonbeachvanuatu.com. The winner will be able to extend the trip at their own expense; however the prize must be concluded by 30 September 2011. We continue to encourage ADA members who are yet to register for Congress to do so, and participate in the largest CPD event for dentists in Australia. *ADA members only.
