News Bulletin : ADA News Bulletin December 2010
23 DECEMBER 2010 Postgraduate student poster PRIZE COMPETITION The poster competition is aimed at reminding ADA members of the high quality of dental research being undertaken in Australia. In an effort to highlight the science and not the cutting and pasting/poster construction abilities of students, posters will be displayed in a PowerPoint style format on digital interactive poster boards, being developed specifically for the occasion. These will be prominently displayed throughout venue for maximum exposure. This will also allow for more graphically based presentations. It is envisaged that the 'touchscreens' will allow presentation of enhanced graphics and video to better illustrate the research. The competition is open to existing postgraduate (those undertaking study towards specialist registration but not higher research degree) students and those who finished this year (2010). Abstract submissions are to be written in IADR style and submitted via the web based system at www.adc2011.com by Thursday, 17 February 2011. After a selection process, short-listed participants will receive technical assistance to produce their 'e-Poster'. Research must not have been previously presented at an international meeting or accepted for publication at the time of submission.
